Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser mocks Diddy, Ben Affleck in opening monologue

Nikki Glaser took the stage as host of the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, bringing her signature sharp humor to the star-studded event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The 40-year-old comedian kicked off the night with a tongue-in-cheek reference to Hollywood's latest obsession, calling it “Ozempic’s biggest night.”

Glaser praised Zendaya for her role in Challengers, a film centered around a love triangle involving a tennis star, her husband, and her ex-boyfriend. “That movie was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,” she quipped, adding, “I know, I’m upset too. The after-party isn’t going to be as good.”

The jokes didn’t stop there. She referenced Stanley Tucci as a potential future host: “No baby oil this year, just olive oil.”

Sean "Diddy" Combs became another target of Glaser’s sharp wit, following a year of legal troubles, including an indictment on federal charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. She joked about the unusual items seized in the investigation, saying authorities found “narcotics and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.”

While riffing on nominated films, Glaser included a cheeky jab involving Ben Affleck, saying, “‘Wicked,’ ‘Queer,’ ‘Nightbitch’ … these aren’t just words Ben Affleck yells when he orgasms.”

The audience laughed, though it came during a turbulent time for Affleck, who is navigating a divorce from Jennifer Lopez after two years of marriage.

Before the ceremony, Glaser reflected on her journey to the Globes, recalling her start on Last Comic Standing and her work with MTV and Comedy Central. She also shared advice from former Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais. “He told me, ‘You’re going to do great. You’re not one of them.’”

Dressed in a sparkling silver gown, Glaser brought a mix of biting humor and candid charm, making her mark on one of Hollywood’s biggest nights.
