Cristiano Ronaldo: "Manchester United is like an aquarium; taking out the sick fish will make it better."

On December 27, Cristiano Ronaldo attended the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony in Dubai and spoke in an interview about Manchester United's new manager, Rúben Amorim, and the state of the team.

Cristiano Ronaldo:

Since replacing Erik ten Hag, Amorim has had a tough start to his managerial career at Manchester United, losing five of his first ten matches. However, Ronaldo believes that under his Portuguese compatriot’s leadership, the storm at Old Trafford will eventually calm.

Cristiano Ronaldo:

Ronaldo stated: "He (Amorim) did an excellent job at Sporting CP. But the Premier League is a different story; it’s the most competitive league in the world."

When asked about the current issues at the club, Ronaldo said: "I said this a year and a half ago, and I will keep saying it: the problem is not the coach. It’s like taking a sick fish out of an aquarium—it doesn’t solve the problem. If you put it back in the aquarium, it will still get sick. That’s Manchester United’s issue—it’s the same."

When asked if Manchester United’s situation remains the same as when he left, Ronaldo replied: "One hundred percent the same. If I were the owner of the club, I would figure things out and fix the areas I think are problematic."

He added: "I’m still young, and I have many plans and dreams to achieve. Believe me, I will definitely become the owner of a big club someday."
